On March 24th, the Kansas City Chiefs signed former Packers WR Marquez Valdes-Scantling to a 3-Year, $30M deal. The deal was announced the same day that former Kansas City Chief, Tyreek Hill was introduced as a Miami Dolphin. It is reported that MVS will receive $18 milllion in the first two years of his contract with incentives that could make the deal worth $36 million. Marquez Valdes-Scantling joins a Chiefs wide receiver room full of talent, featuring JuJu Smith-Schuster, Mecole Hardman, and Pro Bowl tight end Travis Kelce. MVS shared his excitement on Twitter.
I could cry real tears right now. I got cut from my high school team as a freshman to signing a second contract in the NFL. Never let any person place a limitation on who you can be. THANK YOU GOD!!!
